GAITHERSBURG, MD. — A Food and Drug advisory panel agreed that a probable case of pre-clinical variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease attributed to a plasma product in the United Kingdom indicated that the transmissibility of the disease via a plasma-derived factor VIII product was no longer theoretical.
