Treatment Approved for Rare Orphan Neurologic Disease

An immune globulin has received Food and Drug Administration approval for treating chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, a rare autoimmune disorder that affects about 25,000 people in the United States, according to the agency.
