Vasospasm is a common cause of death and disability in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage who survive the initial aneurysm rupture. Noninvasive perfusion CT can be used to assess these patients for possible vasospasm but classically requires the presence of a neuroradiologist for processing and interpretation, which can slow patient management.
