FDA Issues New Warning on Botulinum Toxin Injections

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning advising patients and physicians that agents containing botulinum toxins have been linked to respiratory failure and even death, with most of these events having occurred in children receiving the injection off label for treatment of spasticity resulting from cerebral palsy.
