Agency Panel Backs Neuroleptic for Huntington's Chorea

BELTSVILLE, MD. — The neuroleptic tetrabenazine will likely become the first drug approved in the United States for the management of Huntington's disease, following a federal advisory panel's unanimous vote supporting approval of the drug to treat Huntington's chorea.
