VIENNA — A tantalizing suggestion of a modest stroke prevention benefit for homocysteine lowering through vitamin therapy in multiple large clinical trials has observers saying it's too early to close the book altogether on reducing homocysteine to prevent vascular events, despite substantial evidence that it doesn't reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
