Registry Data Show Subgroup to Be at Risk for Restenosis: Occlusion seen in younger, sicker patients.
DANA POINT, CALIF. — Patients younger than 55 years with symptomatic stenosis involving the supraclinoid segment of the internal carotid artery are at particularly high risk of developing in-stent restenosis after treatment with the Wingspan stent system, according to Dr. David Fiorella of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
