Weight Gain in Migraineurs May Raise Their CVD Risk

CHICAGO — Patients who gained at least 5% of their body weight while taking prophylactic migraine medications also experienced changes in certain clinical markers that could indicate an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, Dr. Marcelo Bigal reported at the annual meeting of the American Headache Society.
