Neuropsychiatric involvement is estimated to occur in up to 75% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Neuropsychiatric SLE is a major concern in the clinical evaluation of this disease. Magnetic resonance imaging plays a key role in identifying neuropsychiatric involvement.
