CMS Corks Plan to Cover More Carotid Stenting

Officials at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have reversed a proposal to expand coverage for carotid artery stenting in asymptomatic patients. The agency's action is consistent with the position of several neurology groups that it is premature to expand coverage of the procedure.
