Brain Lesions May Predict MS in Optic Neuritis

BOSTON — The presence of any demyelination lesions on the baseline brain scan of an optic neuritis patient strongly predicts the development of clinically definable multiple sclerosis within 15 years, Eric Eggenberger, D.O., asserted during a poster presentation at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology.
