Aspirin May Prevent Recurrent Cryptogenic Stroke

SAN FRANCISCO — Aspirin may be as helpful as warfarin therapy or surgical closure of a patent foramen ovale to prevent a recurrence of cryptogenic stroke in older patients, Dr. Jacob S. Elkins said at a meeting sponsored by the California chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
