Gamma Knife for Epilepsy May Spare Verbal Recall

CHICAGO — Gamma knife radiosurgery for mesial temporal lobe epilepsy appears to spare or even improve verbal memory with seizure-free response rates similar to standard surgical procedures, Dr. Mark Quigg reported at the annual meeting of the American Neurological Association.
